Where Dutch painter H.W. Mesdag had a great preference and love for natural light and captured this light with paint, Studio DNNK has a preference and love for artificial light and captures this artificial light with the aid of the mobile phone.
After capturing the fascination for artificial light in The Hague, Studio DNNK analyzed the sketches of Mesdag. Here he found the minimalistic approach of Mesdag analyzing the nature around him. Just with a couple of lines and words he made a plan for himself to start with the painting.
Taking this minimalistic approach as an analysis for the photographs, and transforming these sketches into light objects, created a three dimensional image.
